The circuits of the series are at least partially original. Two of my favorite effect pedals are the Drip reverb and Gauss delay. I heard nothing like them. They are like that girlfriend which everything is wrong about but she is simply the hottest and you feel perfect with (if you stop thinking LOL). Crappy technical design, but they sound sooo good! I cannot get rid of and came back to them as my go to space effects multiple times, despite their quirks. Both drop in volume (ok, I get it, they wanted to emulate some vintage arcane gear), but then the Drip sound glitchy here and there (they say running it on battery solves that) and the modulation button on Gauss simply doesn't work: tape playback speed variation effect always occurs randomly.
To my ear, the Drip sounds the most natural and authentic spring reverb emulation of them all. 60 Cycle Hum says it fakes the drip but, in his own shootouts it beats everything, again, to my ear. I owned the Oceans 11 just because he said it sounds the best and I sold it after a while, once it was clear to me that the Drip is here to stay.
From the Gauss you get another lush tone. It provides a wide range of delay time and nails theat tape recording / VHS effect. You can't understand until you listen to it. You can apply that effect to your guitar tone without a delay if you set everything at a minimum and then crank the Mix. By the way, the range controls of these two pedals make no compromises: you can go from zero to infinity in any respect. Not like other designers who pull that "usable range you need" out of their a**.
Another pedal in the series I am fond of is the Rusty fuzz. First, to me, real fuzz is the Fuzz Face type. Big Muff is just distortion with loads of gain and the wrong EQ

Second, you can't find many FF clones out there, and the originals from Dunlop are silly, and lack a Tone control. The remainder are fancy pants "magic" boutique offerings, whose price is not justified for my limited application. Rusty is pretty much the only workhorse in this field (but I'd like to know if there are others).
