Who’s your celebrity crush/hall pass?

Susanna was the girl that checked all the boxes for me back in the 80s 🔥

Couple years ago, I came across this video & posted it on TOP with the title: I miss the days when... Women were women & were naturally hot!

Ol' Herbie the Kar-Razy luv mod got a bunch of complaints, deleted the thread, dinged me, & gave me a week suspension :rofl

P.S. It was worth it!

Few nice men know (and women) know how to compliment a woman without being creepy. Such compliments are generally nice to receive.

Unfortunately, irrespective of whether it's on a forum or in real life - actually creepy people soon start chiming in and then all hell breaks loose. It becomes difficult to differentiate between the earlier nice people who participated in the conversation and the late participants.

Anne Hathaway is a total enigma to me. Most of the time, she looks like a 12/10, and other times more like a 6/10, to me, and I cannot figure out why that is.

Few celebs are naturally good looking. There is more probability of a girl/ guy next door being beautiful than a celeb. It's a combination of factors like foodstuffs, exercise, hair, makeup products and lighting which contribute to the perception.

I grew up during the end of Beatlemania and the echoes of Elvis.

Hordes of screaming and weeping fans all around the world vs looked nice in a video or poster with lighting and make up.

I don't know about that. Sure, some are a product of what you say, but the vast majority of celebs become celebrities due in large part because they are great looking. I'm not saying that's "all" of it, but it is most definitely a huge part. People in general view their celebrities as some sort of god, and they want their "gods" to be hot.

Just watch virtually any show/movie these days, then go out into the world and compare what you just saw to the average people you'd see out and about.

Depends on where & when you're talking about...

When I became a teen in 70s SoCal beach cities the "average" girl would smoke the "average" female celebrity now, but it's not like that anymore in SoCal.

In fact if anything, there seems to be distinct types of image/personality/grouping at play in the "entertainment" culture, most of which are not appealing to me, but I'm sure someone "likes" them.

I got to meet Siouxsie after a show back in 81, or it might have been 82. She was really cool and graciously took time out to chat to fans waiting outside the load in/out area behind the venue. A genuinely nice person. 👍
