which one of these monitors and sub are better?

i've been using some pretty bad studio monitors for a long time. i think im going to get one of these. which one would you go with and why?

I’d go JBL over Adam, but in that price range I’d also consider Kali (ex JBL guys), they punch well above their weight

Do you have any experience with the v2 versions of IN-8/6 and LP-8/6? Which one would you suggest over JBL?

I can’t speak from experience but I know Kali are ex-JBL guys so they probably aren’t a million miles apart. JBL are one of those old school companies with proper R&D, and the Kali stuff is all well engineered.

Monitors are quite personal and subjective so if it’s possible to try a few in person it’s definitely worth it.

what id do is, if ya can, go where theres a few set up and get a bead on what they sound like, compare and contrast 5s 6s and 8s with stuff you know super well and see what doesnt make youbscrunch yer nose up- but also train your ears as to what bigger and smaller throw at you!

i thought initially id need bigs... but i went with old mackie mr5s initially and liked them a bunch. its all a starting point ajyhow and may not be where you land in the end!

Is your room treated? If not, I’d skip the sub and spend the extra money on room treatment.

That being said, I’ve had a good experience with the A7X over the past 5-6 years and have read great things about the T5V/T7V.
