I'll start with the 1940s. You get one shot at picking. And no "why not all?" protestations, because that's not the point: Command decision here. :bonk

It's not rocket science...

i didnt vote straightway, but id say the two eras i listen to most bridge two eras repd here each..

late 50s early 60s when jazz was shifting modal and taking on a totally different musical space. i think i listen to most music from this time.

and mid 80s through the 90s cause.. well thats when i was most actively playing and independent music was super diverse and practically unclassifiable pre internet and still mediated by amazing record stores and their well meaning musico-dorks.

1810's.

Beethoven, Scubert, Haydn, Hummel, Ries, Spohr, von Weber, Rossini...

I voted for 70's. But in 1910-20 you had classical, jazz, blues and all sorts of amazing things going on.

The 80's guitar heroes ruled and in HS there was ONE kind of metal and if you did not listen to it your were a dork! :crazy

80's had Hair, Black, Doom, Thrash, Death Metal and more.

In the 70's Heavy Metal was Purple, Sabbath and Zep until Priest and a few others arrived. Where I lived, in the 80's calling someoine a Bon Jovi fan was provoking a fight! Not so much with Motorhead.

Just saying... to be a pedant.
