When do you predict the next Fractal Audio Axe iteration will drop, now that they've stated that it will be NAM-compatible?

I think that pre-orders will begin just ahead of the next year-end holidays. Probably not Black Friday, but before Christmas.

Alternatively, it may take another year as they just recently launched the AM4 and VP4, giving them time to recoup the cost of development and turn a profit on those devices.

What's your estimate?

I think they’ll release all the icons sets first then use those dynacab 2.0 and UI elements in the next gen. But that’s just a guess. Either way I like the path they’re on and they’ll likely get me to part with a big chunk of change when it’s released

Can’t preorder something that hasn’t even been announced yet. Guaranteed that there will be the usual insanity as soon as a new release is announced, and people will be scrambling to sell their existing units.

That’s not a bad idea. There are a lot of Fractal owners here, so it would be a pretty good representation of what people are looking for in future products. Just because every other post online seems to be screaming for touchscreens and NAM doesn’t necessarily mean that these are high priorities for the people who actually buy the gear. And there’s also that middle ground, people who think NAM would be cool, but it’s not a deciding factor. That’s where the most votes would probably wind up.
