What's The Mix Like Up Close?

IMO, the best seats for a silent stage gig are as close to the sound guy as possible. But sometimes you just have to suffer through it to be up close to your heroes.
Often they are the best seats even if there are amps on stage. If there's no seating I always try to worm my way near the mixing desk to hear things better. In some venues it's been total mud on the sides and great near the mixing desk.
 
I'm sure they'll have the sound figured out enough that the first couple rows won't be lacking. If the line array isn't able to be directed inward enough they'll have some small speakers across the front of the stage filling things in. They don't mess around with their live sound much and you'd be hearing plenty of complaints about it, but all you ever hear are complaints about LaBrie. :rofl
