I would say the California, but I would also question why Mesa? They would be well down my list of blues amps.

Badlander's pretty good for Blues as well when in lower wattage modes with the Variac engaged on both Clean and Crunch modes.

Fender would be choice for a blues amp head or combo.

What kind of blues?

If you’re looking for something looser and vintage the Cali Tweed are worth looking at.

If you want Blackface there’s the Fillmore.

If it’s hot Texas blues the Lone Star is good.

The Maverick line is also worth checking out for more low gain roots type sounds

Warren Haynes -- Marshall DSL? MIGHT be able to find a dirty Shirley mini head and cab (don't go for the combo).

Those GC blacked out DSL combos look killer. Maybe not very bluesy looking but good looking, nonetheless
