What Is Most Responsible For Harmonic Content, In Your Opinion?

Which One Matters Most?

A chain is a chain made up of distinct and indispensable links. One link really serves
no effective purpose apart from the other links. :idk

Each link is necessary, but not sufficient in and of itself. :knit

I do enjoy the nutsmacking that goes on in these kinds of threads, though, where we
as people fume and fuss over the most vital of all the different links in the chain. :beer

And a chain's harmonic content is only as strong as its weakest link.

Well I learned some new stuff, so there!

And isn't that really one of the most important things when it comes to interacting as social beings on a planet filled with distractions that keep us from becoming actualized human beings? :stirthepot :sofa

It can. Have you ever heard ghosts while playing?
Animation Ghost GIF

Ghost Notes are harmonics generated by the amplifier. They can add a rich and warm touch, specially when soloing at the upper frets.

They are typical of vintage amps and old Plexis, but with the advanced parameters of the Fractal modeler you can add them to any amplifier by simply adjusting the Supply Sag and the B+ Time Constant
Hear, hear! Iommi's Ghosting harmonics at 5:51 :satan

- Rick Beato: "This is something that digital really has a hard time getting. This is one of the things when we are playing with tube amps where you can really tell the difference"

- Reth: "They are trying to get there with modeling. The Axe-FX III I think does it"

Indeed. With any amplifier, as real as it gets, and with more flexibility and tweaking possibilities than ancient amplifiers

@FractalAudio lend an unit to Beato :D

Oh man! I wasn't targeting the Thread Originator. :idk Just a lot of the parsing of this, that, and
the other thing trying to make one thing seem more essential than the others. I think it is
all an equation and EVERY variable plays a factor---for good or ill. :beer

Beato has a III, he’s had it for a few years now. He’s talked about it previously, I can’t remember if he made a specific video about modeling or not, but he’s brought up the AxeFX before. It’s in his rack where he normally sits when live-streaming.

Well I hope you know I was just kidding around with ya anyway. :beer

Mmmm... Seems like he is not skilled reaching the G-Spot (Ghost-Spot :D )
