What is 'Chuck'?

Here's a video they've linked to on their own FB page. Watching the first minutes where the guy is explaining the editing process is making me cringe instantly. It possibly doesn't get much worse. And I promise it doesn't get any better when it comes to showing off some sounds. But hey, you better enjoy for yourself:

The quick bit with this on the Kohle Audio video from some trade show was kind of funny. Definitely got “I have an idea but no clue what it will take to pull it off so this is what we got now.” from the guy. Good intentions, wild execution. I don’t think this company is going to have the money for an army of AI shills.

I'm guessing they have a pretty small Marketing department (headcount: 0) considering the name of the thing tells you what to do with it. :facepalm

(Seriously, though: I don't hate the way it sounds in the videos, but the UI and price give pause, to say the least.)

If Trey and Matt did a SouthPark Episode about designing the worlds simplest modeler, this would be what the animators would come up with ;)

B.t.w ..... I dont know if its the case elsewhere in the world, but here is Oz, "Chuck" is an Australian colloquialism for "vomiting".

Interesting tid-bits ..... as I said before, (1) at least its out before the Amp X and (2) something has come along that makes the Quilter Elevate look "good"

I think the tone is appropriate for that type of blues. The playing is bad and destroys the demo.

The tone isn't up to par with even the least expensive modern stuff. It honestly reminds me of my GSP 21 Legend, and that thing is over thirty years old. And it wasn't all that great when it was brand new, but there really wasn't much out there back then.

Yeah - but the thing really making me scratch my head is that I'd place any bet I'd be able to coax a 10x better tone out of the thing with pretty much any guitar and record something more suitable in a matter of 5 minutes after touching good old Chucky for the first time.
And no, that's not because I'm such a great sound wizard but simply because whomever dialed the device in, chose the guitar and played that "bluesy" recording had absolutely no idea about any of these things. And as if that wasn't enough already, they still decided to use this as a kinda official promo on their FB page.
