Played around with my lovely 1997 MIJ Fender MG-65 (Mustang) and decided to look below the scratchplate for the first time in years, after it hung on the wall neglected due to a botched soldering job by myself.
The neck pickup would cut in/out all the time, and I was too frustrated to repair it. Turns out it's an easy fix with Wago clamps.
New strings tomorrow, and then I'm off to the beach!!!
Will post a photo when the strings are on.

Here's the result! 
The pickups are vintage-spec recreations of the original 60's Mustang single coils by Q Pickups out of Croatia.

I just had a setup done on my ES-333 with Duncan Antiquities and have been playing it all weekend through my Tone King Imperial Preamp and stereo Fender FR rig. It sounds and plays absolutely wonderfully and I've got a new appreciation for it having not played it in months.

I really like the color of this one. Looks snazzy with the black pickups too. Haven't played a shorter scale guitar in a long time.Here's the result!

Woke up early and couldn't fall back asleep, so I installed a new set of calibrated double ball end strings. It's TransTrem time.

I had one of those in Red once upon a time. I wish Gibson still made it. It was like a ES-335 Studio.
Even had a control cavity in the back routed out so you could swap pickups and pots easily.

I had Area T's in there for a while. Then Fender Noiseless. Now the EMGs.Gorgeous. Get some Dimarzios in that, STAT!!!!
I may go back eventually. 
But there's just something about EMG singles and being tuned to D standard! Secret recipe.
