I remember when Chibsons hit the market back in 2008ish, they were wrong 9 ways to Sunday, and that was noticeable just from crappy pics...

They've gotten a lot closer, well some of them, since those Chinese Epiphone luthiers started cranking them out :rofl

I'd never seen a Chibson in person, until about 5 years ago in a pawn shop, it felt & sounded just like an Epiphone Std. Les Paul, from what I remember as I hardly touch those either :poop:

What the Chibson really reminded me of were the Agiles I tried @ Rondo Music in NJ.

Definitely not even close to my 05' R9, or any of my other "authentic" Gibsons...

I think its time to draw a line under the whole chibson thing. After all, this is a guitar forum.
If people want to buy chibsons thats their prerogative.
I personally wouldn't but, as they say, " whatever floats your boat". 🤷

Real Gibsons are bad enough, the headstocks will crack just looking at them wrong.

How come virtually no Harley Benton stuff? Some of it is surprisingly good as long as you swap the pickups.
