What Amp Are You Playing Today?

Plugged into my crab Marcus for the fist time in quite a while today. Have practice with the new side gig tomorrow. I can’t leave an amp at that space and most jams I’ve been lazy. trying to just bring my deluxe reverb so I can one trip hasn’t been cutting it. Times I’ve brought my mark V have been epic. The crab is so light you’d think it has helium in the tubes so splitting the difference and bringing that tomorrow. It did seem pretty noisy testing it back out just now but I also was just straight in didn’t have any of my “baseline” gating going on. Aside from that sounded killer will report back tomorrow

Instead of leaving it to fate like a dumbass did pull out the pedalboard and noise problem is gone and crab sounds glorious :love

I used this amp at a gig last June and lost the FS like an idiot but fortunately my aftermarket tiny mark V foot switch works fine with this amp so that’s cool

I’m so jealous of this rig. I REALLY need to get my 2:90 serviced pronto.
I should preemptively get mine serviced to replace the filter caps before they start leaking. I keep the 2:90 on top of the rack so I can easily inspect their condition before cranking it.

I recently retubed it with short bottle 6L6s recommended by Doug at Doug's Tubes in an attempt to make the volume a little bit more manageable.

We were in a different rehearsal room today and this was what was available.

I started with the Marshall but moved pretty quickly to the Orange. Not sure what's up with the Marshall but it was a big fizzy flubby mess. Really struggled to find any usable sounds.

The orange was pretty decent tbh, much more girth than the Marshall.

I need to apologise to the Marshall, we were back in that room today and I dialled it in properly this time. It sounded great to be fair. I watched @2112's video on the DSL 100 and loved the sounds he was getting so had to try again. Killer time was had by all. Thanks Leon

So yeah sorry for shitting on you last time JCM2000, today you rocked mightily.

NIce!

Is it all concrete and block walls in those rehearsal spaces? :idk

Tried my JoYo Bantamp MB1 into a Marshall Valvestate... nice difference, totally different amp.
Amazing what these little amps can do in a recording setup, cheaper than pedals :D
