What Amp Are You Playing Today?

J/K, it sounds awesome. I'm not really a combo guy, but this one's pretty sweet. Gain channel is modded Marshall-ish, even though this one's loaded with 6L6's. Fendery cleans. Loud AF.
Nice. I saw this vid a while back where JB was playing a 4x10 Rivera. It looks like a heavy beast but I'd love to have one of the those.

That'd be cool, but I don't even wanna know what it weighs. :D

My favorite is still the Fandango head with EL34's, into a 2x12.

Do you put anything under the head so it doesn’t mess up the tolex on the amp underneath?
Do you mean the Friedman head? It has the larger rubber feet so it clears the Twin's flatter handle. Not that it would bother me too much either way.

So the rubber feet don’t make indents on the tolex?

I have a JMP that I need to get a cab for, but was putting it on top of my Twin but was afraid it would ruin the Twin’s tolex.

No indentions. It's not on top of it right now though. A JMP is much heavier so ymmv. Depends on the type of feet too. I have had certain tolex do that though, but this twin head cab (mojotone) seems pretty durable. But I don't pamper them either so a nick or dent here and there is part of the journey.

I like to take good care of my gear, but you have to let yourself use it without worrying about minor marks.
I put pieces of cardboard under the feet of all my amps that rest on a tolex’d cab.

Learned that trick from a shop I used to go to. Not so much indents as marks/stains from the rubber.

I sell my gear way too often. Nothing is really a keeper. Ha

Ever since I got my newest Gretsch, my SF Vibrolux has been getting some love. Went back to the Jensen Silverbirds and these speakers just feel right with this amp. Slightly more modern than the Webers I have but very much in the American voicing camp. Using my Dispatch Master set up for slap back and adding amp reverb and trem as needed. Dirt is either my EQD Plumes or for more over the top gain, my Katzenkönig. I could live happily wit this setup.

Something I recently put together that I do believe will be with me for quite some time. Took my Quilter Aviator Cub UK and rehoused it into a Vox Cambridge 2-10” cabinet. Love the sound of the Quilter but wanted to give it a better look plus I love 2-10”s
