What Amp Are You Playing Today?

This is the way.
I did a bunch of boost rolling. OCD, SD1, GAB Bion, Rat clone, Klone clone, Grid Slammer. I honestly don't think any of those matter till you are really cranking it. I was just as good just playing without one. My tele is definitely more 'sluggish' than my Ibby V with 500t in the bridge.

It's great having a Homebase.... or a Tonal Wheelhouse ... you can always count on, and return to. Or
just dwell in for all of Eternity! :beer

I'm about to check out a used Fuchs BlackJack 21 MK II combo amp on Saturday. Any feedback from actual tube amp players here? Much appreciated!

The Mark II is a great 6V6 amp. It’s definitely in the D style amp compared to the older Mk I series which were more Wreck inspired. Two channels, shared EQ. Not as many options as an ODS but still in that vein. Just a little more raw. One of my best friends had one for years and loved it until he got his ODS-II last month. Fuchs makes a great amp.

I was putting my new black Supro Delta King 12 combo that arrived from Andertons yesterday through it’s paces earlier..
It sounds great just like my other one I bought in the Andertons January sale with triple loyalty points 👍

This one was even cheaper £209.00 B stock because of three small cosmetic marks on the back .

Took a hard pivot today and swapped out the Bassman/SG pairing for my 70s SFDR with a tele. I’m using a Bogner Blue for dirt and it’s sounding fantastic. This amp doesn’t get all the love it deserves with all the Marshalls and Mesas laying around here but I’m working on it.

Watching this makes me want a Fender amp. Your post isn’t helping 😝.

If you’re looking for the calming, rational voice of reason, you’ve come to the wrong place. You should definitely get a Fender, and you should have both a Strat and a Tele around to pair them with. IMO Fender amps sound best with Fender style guitars.

It’s hard to go wrong wrong with a Deluxe Reverb. 70s models are still quite affordable by vintage standards and still hand wired. The vibroverb in that video sounds great too.

For the last few days I've been playing my Tone King Imperial Preamp into the "Amp In" power amp input of my Line 6 Catalyst CX 100.

Great '60s Fender tones even through an SS amp thanks to the tube preamp.

It's been wonderful for practicing, no time wasted trying to dial it in, just BMT tone adjustments and gain to taste on the second channel...done!
