What Amp Are You Playing Today?

A little Badlander + JVM410H stereo experiment in the works.

Gigged the Mark III for the second week in a row. First time at this venue, it’s got open garage doors in a very hip part of town and sound guy emphasized the need of low stage volume even to telling drummer to play gentle (which lol good luck with that with his double bass :rofl )

Didn’t really notice with IEMs tho. Stage volume definitely way lower than preferred but still sounded sick. Thank god I didn’t bring my mark IV tho, would’ve been a non starter :rofl

Still diggn’ the CE?

Tbh still remains my all around #1

Lately I’ve been farming out gear to my band because I’m the “stays the whole night and parties guy” catching uber at the end

My bass player was ecstatic about my vela last week, can’t wait to here what he thinks about the CE LOL
I really want one of the new CE22s but my wallet says NO 😮‍💨 I hope they don’t discontinue it (as in the chance they aren’t popular enough to keep making) - I guess I can always look used but I’m hoping that’s my next purchase.

I know third post in a row but I’ve had a few so 😈. For home use, I have to be honest with myself that barely turning then MV up makes my windows rattle, so idk if the 90 watt would 100% be an “upgrade” here

I see a lot of 25/35 on stage around here and they’re immaculate sounding

I know I’ve had my fair share of el84 shit talking but I feel like the biggest advantage of the 90 of you already own one of the smaller ones is the insane versatility enhancement

Bigger iron does equal bigger sound as far as I’m concerned, but the lower wattage guys still sound massive

Yupp, I feel like the 90 is the end all be all for what I want, three channels alone would be really great. I love crunch as much as I love fat, I’d love to have them separated and have fat, crunch and IV.

Once you get into the “extra options” like recto tracking/wattage/ split modes/ etc etc it gets pretty intense too

And shit, I’m not sure I realized you had to make that choice….

Fat/crunch/mkiv is my OG mode combo but lately I’m fat/edge/nkIV

I’m not well versed in how big the differences between the 25/35 are?

I thought it was just number of 84s?

I could be mistaken but if that’s the only difference and you’re looking for a change I’d consider just jumping up to the full 90 bad boy
Solo boost, a little more headroom, and wider shell. Strangely I have no interest in the 90.
