Company has not been doing well and they "restructured". I practically volunteered because it was pretty much either myself or this single Mom who is a sweet sweet lady. I got 6 weeks severance. I'm not worried at all I have so much sub work I can do I will probably earn more doing that, than I was at this job. Luckily wifey has great insurance (Government Employee) and I can just go on hers when mine expires in a week or so.
Time for a short sabbatical though methinks. Long overdue.
Oh yeah I can get work easily it's just not as steady as that direct deposit every week.Sounds like you need this break. No doubt it will lead to better opportunities and more serenity in life.![]()
The hustle is real.Oh yeah I can get work easily it's just not as steady as that direct deposit every week.
Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you'll land on your feet and find something better!
I actually just barely dodged furloughs in my current job. I got a contract with a new client right before my company decided to furlough some people who were between projects. Hopefully sales can find work for them quick.
About 10 years ago I got fired due to restructuring and it really sucked, even when you know it wasn't your fault. The silver lining was that I met my fiancee on my last day at that job and I got a better job a few months later.
