Company has not been doing well and they "restructured". I practically volunteered because it was pretty much either myself or this single Mom who is a sweet sweet lady. I got 6 weeks severance. I'm not worried at all I have so much sub work I can do I will probably earn more doing that, than I was at this job. Luckily wifey has great insurance (Government Employee) and I can just go on hers when mine expires in a week or so.

Time for a short sabbatical though methinks. Long overdue.

Sorry to hear that man, but it’s good to see you’re positive about moving forward and not lettin’ it suck the life out of ya. Definitely the right mindset to have in these situations. And if you‘ve got that New England work ethic in you, you’ll be just fine.

Way to be positive. Great to have a good wife! I'm thankful for mine also.

Make the best of it!

I wanted to leave my job very badly but couldn't as there would have been no one else to do it, then covid happened. I was able to work from home until they had things figured out. Money isn't what it once was but I am way less stressed.

Things happen for a reason.

Damn Bob sorry to hear that, but seems you have the attitude for bigger and better things so thats positive

Sorry to hear Bob. But it sounds like you've got things lined up nicely and can enjoy going back at it after a nice break.

FEP Blue is pretty much the best health insurance these days, always nice to have a backup there as well.
