If you just preordered, you are almost certainly NOT in the first wave. Probably not even in the second.

You....won't have to worry about that at all. Plus, you get a ton of first-hand user experiences and wide range of clips of all the Agoura high-gain amps in detail well before you'll have to plunk down money,

Just over a month ago my Sweetwater rep said they had 1945 pre orders in and they predicted any new orders would be in the third wave of shipping. I tried to cancel mine via email and my rep called like 7 seconds later.
“Bro, you’re in the first batch, anything ordered now won’t ship until February or March. That spot is valuable. I’ll call you when it’s here, but keep your spot. ”
That was two weeks ago, so depending on who you ordered from, jumping in now might be well into next year.
Or my dude is full of shit like any good drug dealer.

I was debating about getting a new amp and just decided to go that route.
Technically I haven’t canceled, but it’s likely. I’ll round back once the Spotlight, Editor, Cloning etc. is out. I’ve also become a little bit of a FASshole, so I think it might be a cleaner landing for me with the Stadium if it’s in its full form.
Who knows. It might land at SW while I’ve got a buzz and YOLO.

I’ve had similar internal debates, I don’t blame you. I’m barely using modeling anymore and when I do it’s captures of my own amps. I have almost no use case for a multi effects unit these days. Makes sense. The 1.1 version will share A LOT of sonics with Helix Floor, so if you've already counted it out as not being up there with current firmware FAS.....I predict some remorse.
I did shootout after shootout of my FM9 with my current Helix to make sure I wasn't just plunking down for this out of hype, and I was able to duplicate the vast majority of my preferred FAS tones, while also discovering a lot of great Line 6/Catalyst originals and factory cabs I'd otherwise dismissed.
