Vegas trip planning

The wifey and I went with another couple two years ago. A long weekend is all you need. Anything more than a couple nights and it loses its luster.

The main strip is cool if you’re filling the majority of your time catching shows, concerts, and hitting some of the nice restaurants. Gambling wise, the most fun me and my buddy had was off the strip in old vegas. Less stuffy, cool vibe.

Absinthe at Caesars is a great show. I took the wifey to Picasso one evening, which was a really nice restaurant if you’re wanting to throw a coat on one evening. Hakkasan was good too.

Gambling, best tip is to only sit down with an adequate bankroll. Even knowing optimal theory you need to have enough of a bankroll to ride the wave of fluctuations enough to have a fun session. Depending on the game that could be 30-50 times the minimum bet. (Per session you are planning) Blackjack is generally the easiest to play casually for a decent amount of time. Craps is really fun, but will make your butthole pucker if you don’t come with a decent bankroll.

Absolutely with Black Jack! It's rare you sit down and immediately start riding a crest. You have to have enough time and money to play a lot of hands otherwise all of the strategy guides are useless. They are all based on averages over lots of hands. Knowing the right times to Double Down is when you'll start making money based on my experience.

Very cool. Thanks for the info. I never do anything but the one armed bandits or bingo at casinos and though I can count on one hand how many times I have been to a Casino for fun, I have never walked out less than 250 dollars up. My very first time I walked out up 2k. I budget a certain amount for gambling and I stick to that. I've never played blackjack or any card games really. Maybe go fish with my kids.

Heart attack grill, get spanked by the midget and enjoy their only vegan option: a pack of Camels.

Red Rock Canyon. Stunning if you like the scenery.

Pawnstars pawnshop. Don’t expect much but it’s cool.

Hells Kitchen if it is still there. Great food.
