Valeton GP-200 Multi-FX processor

GP-200 Aliasing test (hear that wobbling, going backwards tone as the main tones are going up? that's aliasing)

Amp block only enabled
UK-800

With the NAM 2203X capture

For comparison, below is a similar test comparing the ToneX software, pedal and Axe-Fx III:

Bottom cover - Are those pieces of metal to prevent flex on the top plate (where the switches are) ?

Micro-controller, DRAM and Flash

Looks like a Cortex M7 @600Mhz, with built-in display controller with 2D graphics acceleration
32MB of DRAM
8MB of Flash

Well I had fun with this little device, I'd say well done Valeton. I'm looking forward to the next iteration of this platform - assuming they keep the price in the same range -

or make a small iteration of this same platform but
  • increase flash storage to 32MB or 64MB
    • Then you would have tons of room for NAM captures and IRs
  • Make a "moveable mic" UI for the cabinet (now that you have lots of room for IRs)
  • Support temporary mode for the switches (they could do that in a software update on the existing platform)
  • Support some parallel FX (to a reasonable degree, say for Delay and Reverb blocks)

For now, it's back on the box ready to be gifted to family.

Hi!
I found interesting Graphic Mod for Valeton GP-200 with real name and visual for Preamp, Distortion, Amplifire & Cabinet for Windows OS. What do you think about it??

I have no experience using POD GO, I had a few BOSS processors and that Valeton. But I see some problems in Valeton GP-200 after 1,5 year using in schematic and sound effects. And it is fact, GP-200 not ideal, but it is a good processor for it price.

And now I create few drive, clean and acoustic sounds by IR and NAM and for my purposes this is enough.

I'm sorry, aren't you the person selling it?
Yeah, the way that post was worded, that wasn't really clear and kinda stinks...

Besides, I would never
1. install a software mod that would seize to function the moment I update my firmware and
2. pay for it...

Something's not right. He's complaining about latency, but Leo Gibson measured about 3 msec, which isn't bad. Ola does a "latency" test, but he's confused and is not measuring latency.
I think he's measuring correctly as it matches what I measured (I measured around 5.2ms):

That looks right, so I don't know how to explain how Leo got 3 msec. He might have been using a different effects chain.

He not only measures it, but also says clearly the he notices it with the first strum. And that's the jist important test.

With the QC or NC he doesn't feel it.
