Just saw that pop up in my feed. Definitely an unexpected collaboration. I dug it, right up until the weird ass "Boys Of Summer" solo break. And as much as I love Vai, that solo was way too happy for the rest of the song.

I wouldn't be bummed if they did a Stone Sour kinda thing, as long as Vai promises to use a minor scale every now and then.

The first time I saw him was during the first G3 tour. I would have loved to have seen him during that era!

I never knew he recorded all those guitars in his home studio, that’s pretty crazy for the 80’s and surely having a good amount of pressure to follow up to Eat Em And Smile with something big. Also cool to hear how into recording he already was at that point, he definitely had opinions about wood floors in studios.
