well hell.

theyre the LEAST interesting thing, but if you leave the house.. we all need em.. and im looking for two right now.

whatre your favorites and why?

i think im gonna shell out for a second skb TSA case. i have one for lesters and i love it so much im gonna get another for a tele. i love the non rectangular shape for carrying especially traveling!

I like the full-size cases for the simple fact I can keep all sorts of extra stuff in them. Both the PRS and EBMM of that style I have are great, with one little niggling dislike of the EBMM cases- you have to guide the latch into its slot as you click it closed. Small annoyance.

As for the LP case..., it always felt a bit awkward to carry, like the way it would hang from your hand, it's like the reverse neck-dive. That and hardly any storage, not a fan.

Oh and the new-style Mono cases that EBMM now use..., Idk why they get so much hate. It's a great case. NOT a "soft" case like many people say it is. Very sturdy, with high-quality zippers all the way around.

And with both styles of EBMM cases, the trem bar can stay in the guitar, which is a nice touch.

G&G hard cases for home storage and mono gig bags for everything else apart from stuff that comes with a quality case included.

This is my favorite. Good value vs construction, and that little bag is useful for pedals, accessories etc and can be removed if not needed.

I like cases that are in-between hardcases and bags. They are more rigid than bags so they can still take a beating but are more manageable with backpack straps etc.

The Kiesel Softcase is also really good, just not a viable option for us EU buyers. Junkies stole mine and I'm still annoyed about that! Fuck those guys!

ive never used dent bags... im kinda scared of them! hard soft cases seem kinda cool, but van or plane travel... woof... i worry enough about gear getting crunched that i try to find stuff a 215 can rest on.

I like my mono dual case a lot but they should have done something different on the inside or maybe a DIY fix would be good. its just near the top on the inside where the fabric tends to gets stuck on the tuning pegs and ends of the strings - starts to tear it up a little bit. maybe like a different material there idk. its not a huge deal, the rest of it is built really well w good materials. carrying two guitars at once, even over your shoulder, is super convenient.

i dont really buy just cases very often haha. mostly all of the guitars i buy i get used and usually come with one. for hardshell cases i like my old coffin case and the tweed one the most (not sure on brand on that one)

me neither- it just happens that not a single electric guit ive gotten in the past 20 years came with a case (the astronomical number of four

i have to transport two at a time now, and i have only one tele case- so i figger i haveta find at LEAST one. i bought a TSA case for the lester cause my chainsaw case is effin UUGE.

I love Mono. Soft bags are 10000x more useful to me and I always prefer them to hard cases. The only hard cases I own are ones that came with a guitar, and they usually just sit in storage

Yeah, I hate hardshells, at this point. Then again, I'm not touring the US, so maybe that's the basis of my opinion.

Several months ago, I preordered an Anthology Gear leather guitar case using their Driftwood Brown waterproof leather. It is supposed to be ready in the next week or two.

It's completely a vanity item for a new Starr Guitars custom "Hustler" build I commissioned yesterday.

The case will look like the one below, but with a lighter brown shading.
