This old rack sounds glorious (but weighs a ton)

Got this Marshall rack with a 9200 and JMP-1 in great condition! This is not my first JMP-1 but this is the first ever rack poweramp that I've ever had. Heavily inspired by Deftones and it does not disappoint! Sounds utterly massive! Especially with the voice switch thingy enabled on the poweramp, adds some nice depth to the tone. Really nails that early 2000s Deftones sound, especially with my LTD SC-20. It's so ridiculously heavy though, unreal. Like 30kg.

What do you guys think of this rig?

In the late 90's I played in a 5 piece band with 2 guitarists. I played my Mesa Triaxis + 2:90 rig, and the other guitarist had a rack exactly like the one pictured above. Excellent sounding rig!

I recorded a quick test clip yesterday of this rig with my LTD SC-20 into the JMP1 / 9200 rig with the voice switch on. Into my Grossmann Fatbox 1x12 with the V30. Sounded so good for a quick test. I can't upload small audio files directly to the forum, or am I wrong?

Not directly. Needs to be hosted somewhere, then link it in your post.

My back hurts looking at it. But yeah, those were a stunning combination. I remember going to GC, and they had a rack you could switch from the JMP-1 to an MP-1, into that power amp. SO cool.

First time I saw this Marshall setup, it had to be around '94 I think? It stood out, obviously. I was in a local music store around Atlanta, and that same day I bought my first tube amp, a Crate Vintage Club 50, 1x15. Which wasn't too shabby tbh.
