Taco Bell and Natty Ice for 2 months, when I got it 15 years ago. Well worth itHonestly? That's pretty much what I want. I just can't see when and how I would spend Custom Shop
coin on a guitar.
Love it. She's a Beaut!!!![]()
Slightly......

I have tided myself over with a 50s Vintera II in Sonic Blue, SO, while I contemplate wallet
homocide for something else.
It came last week and I am pretty smitten with it. It has the early 50s U shaped neck and that
Maple Neck and Fretboard---which right now is where my ears are at. I need all the SNAP!I can get.

That's awesome. They do sound great in a band, no doubt! A tele and strat were all I used in my last band, and the tele got most of the love tbh. They are just so versatile. I'm a diehard S-type player but the tele is getting more love these days.I am so toast, guys! Tele Fever is crescendoing!
It just sounds so good with the band. No mud. Tons of midrange. Roll back the Tone
control for a little more warmth, or roll it all the way up to decaptitate, as needed.
I've had Telecasters off and on over the years, but never used them much in a band
setting until the past month. Everything in the mix is just far better balanced. And
since we tune down a lot, those tuned down guitars with a Tele don't seem to muck
things up when playing in a band that has a 5 String bassist. I couldn't stop smiling
last night with how great it sounded. To me.
Not getting a lot of noise with the single-coils either, and the gain is less as the pickups
don't push the amp (amp models) as hard, but there is more clarity and bite. The tone
is not as compressed and squashed out. I freaking love it.
I am going all Telecasters and Silverface Fenders from here on out!!!!!
(forever and always a rocker, but I'll be damned this is fun.)![]()

I wasn't really looking, but there is a Dealer/Retailer in the States from whom I have
purchased from before. They are blowing out the old stock 50s Vintera IIs for all the
new 75th Anniversary Fender Teles coming in, and I was made an offer I could not let
pass.
Like 50% off good.![]()
I now want that amp.

Killer deal
I was born in '68 so those Silverfaces have been a massive deal for me. I am blessed to have an
the Bassman, a Super, and a Bandmaster. I can see myself moving some of my hi-gainers,
and then grabbing a Princeton and Deluxe someday.
