The Other Page now stealing its users' content for AI slop articles

Hopefully this post is allowed, particularly given the wide span of how many forums are owned by VerticalScope these days it seems likely that this cancer is going to spread further still. There was a previous thread about the TOS being updated to allow this.

So basically, the forum added a big ol' link to a "Celestion Speakers comparison" to this guy's post, without asking:
The article itself is your typical AI scrape and rephrase, although the text is basically nonsense:
Around #100, OP notices what's happened:
And post #103 notes that there's quite a lot of it now.

So yeah, that's where we're at now. It's a particularly hamfisted implementation, but really it figures this was bound to happen sooner or later. I've been on a variety of VerticalScope forums and they're already poorly run with general disregard for the properties and the people using them. But all of the forum content has already been sucked into the big chatbots so it only figures that some sites would try to claw back some of it with AI SEO bait. Lord knows TGP had its problems before, but this? This is absolutely a red line to me in term of participating in any way at all.

Great...here comes the next version of the HC exodus (that changed the whole dynamic of TOP years ago).

I wouldn't be even mad about it if it was more like a search function that attributes the content to its writer.

Now it's just a tool to get people to write about things they are excited about, then steal that content and rephrase it as an article.
