Just got this ‘52 reissue today and it has FCS hand wound ‘50-‘51 Blackguard neck and bridge pickups. It’s also Nocaster wiring - blend pot instead of tone. They sound great! Raw and brash!

First one a Fender Japan relic and modify by me, middle is a Suhr and the third is Fender 52R relic by me

I wasn’t expecting to like the Nocaster wiring as much as I do.

There’s a “Fat 50s” full control plate in the case but I’m leaving it as is. Different and unique having the blend and no tone.

It’s “modded” Nocaster so the #3 (or is it #1… the typical neck switch position) isn’t nearly as bassy as the originals - aka much more usable.
