Tele Pickups

Noice. I like "sweeter" but I didn't want to influence you before you made a tonal comment.

I also like a bit of bite, but not too bright or strident.
They're definitely not strident or too bright imo. The neck is perfect, smooth, buttery, with a hint of salt on top. :p
The bridge is snappy, not shrill but still vintagy enough. Decent output too.

You only need one.
Blow your wad for two on one single bad ass pup!

Ive got a Lollar 52 single and a Fralin 43 (P90), both for bridge.
Both great and fairly priced.

I like to focus on magnet type when I think of tonal characteristics. A2, A3, or A4 are going to
be a bit sweeter/rounder, in my experience, and be not as strident. A5 is going to have more bite
and immediacy to the attack than either A2, A3, or A4.

Just helps me hone in on what I am going after to think about magnet used rather than the
specific pickup. :idk

Tim at BK can trick you on this. He consistently makes stuff that behaves differently from the written specifications. I just tell him a recording I like these days and let him build it.

In the homestretch. Kind of forgot how you have to unseat and pull the entire
bring plate and assembly to change that pickup. Smart design, Leo. :bonk

Have a set of Suhr Mateo Asato Classic Ts here ready to
go into my Tele in the next few days. No really. It's gonna happen.

Lost 3 days of tone not getting these in sooner. :facepalmNeck pickup is a massive
upgrade. I'd say it is a ga*****ger, but that word has been banned in 2025
after repeated misuse and abuse of it in 2024. :hmm

I'll dabble with the pickups some more and see if I can pull any more superlatives
out of my ass.
