It's a hometown(ish) show. I live in the SF Bay Area so I'm going to leave work a little early and still get there in time to not miss Limp Bizkit and Metallica. This is a teenage wet dream for me finally come true.

This will be my first arena concert ever, and my son's. No, the girls are staying home but I'm picking up a van load of teenagers and heading down in rush hour traffic with a bad back.

Im excited!

Enjoy! Denver is next week! I’ve been jamming Metallica all week to prime my brain for it. 😂 Report back on the meech situation - I want to pick up a shirt for the night I attend.

For sure. I'm most likely getting all the boys shirts
My first arena show was Slayer in 2006 as a 17 year old and my buddy’s mom dropped us off in her mini van lol. I broke my collar bone during the first band’s (Thine Eyes Bleed) set in the pit and sat down in a random empty seat cradling my injury the rest of the night lmao.

GREATEST NIGHT EVER

Fuck yeah!!!!! You’re going to have a BLAST!!!

The energy in that place is gonna be nuts being a Bay area show, that’s going to be such a killer experience for both you and your son!!

We got there late, missed Ice Nine Kills, but made it time to catch most of Limp Bizkit's set. Fred talking during every extended breakdown/bridge got kind of old but they knew how to work a crowd. They jammed on a few Metallica covers and DJ Lethal would troll everyone with his random Playlist of off-color songs between songs.

Metallica of course had the place shaking. They played some old and some new songs. Kirk and Rob did a duo jam. Lars is still a sloppy drummer and performs drum fills that start way too early and end way too late. It was like turning the old thrash metal songs into groove metal. No encore.

Sound was really good. We were in front of one of the screens and in between two speaker array lines so while the volume wasn't extremely pummeling or direct, we got a good representation of the mix. I could hear the guitars very well. The snare wasn't overbearing and the bass shook my vision (especially for LB).

T shirts started at $45
