Survey for Master Thesis - Fuzz Pedal Comparison

Hello everyone!


My name is Mario, and I’m currently writing my master’s thesis at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten in the degree program 3D Audio & Sound Design.


In my thesis, I’m investigating the tonal differences between two fuzz pedals – specifically, how different components affect sound and whether technical parameters can be described using assigned attributes.


For this purpose, I have created an anonymous survey with listening test that takes about 15 minutes. It’s about your personal experiences, preferences, and how you perceive certain sonic characteristics.

I appreciate every participant – whether you're a DIY enthusiast, boutique gear fan, or a minimalist when it comes to effects.

The first section of the survey is designed in a way, that every sound example has to be played minimum once and an answer has to be selected to be able to proceed to the next question.
