I decided I’m going to sell my Peavey XXL and the Line 6 2x12 that I’ve dragged up and down the east coast for 20 years and have served me very, very well, considering it was bought as a temporary head/cab and has stuck around longer than any other amp I’ve owned. It’s been the backup amp for whichever local scene I was in at the time, often residing in my ex’s trunk for months at a time.

This obviously isn’t amazeballs gear and I’m not looking to get top dollar for it by any means, the last time I plugged the head in the volume was jumping up and down and needed a good whack to settle it down. I’d maybe expect $250, absolute tops for both, but I’d really prefer this little rig gets in the hands of a teenager who is dying to play in a band but needs an amp to do so, in which case I’ll take 50% off the asking price.

I need some suggestions on how to list the ad, I get a little leery around the idea of “If you’re under 18, send me proof and I’ll hook you up!” :rofl

Any place around that does lessons? You could check with them and see if they have any students who need a good deal on the amp, and they can help broker a safe deal?

Great question! I was thinking about something similar for my old Agile and CV guitars I want to part ways with. I would happily give them away to a couple of youngsters in need who would appreciate them, but I can't figure out how to find those people without attracting flippers and worse scum.

I thought about asking at my favorite local guitar shop that offers lessons (got my first guitar and lesson there back in the late 1700's! Ok maybe a bit later than that) but I don't want to steal a sale from them either.

Not a bad idea actually, I need to see if the School Of Rock is still down here. Thanks!!
