You use the smallest hole on the wire stripper and then angle it a bit. Works fine with practice.

Thank you. That's what i usually do for thicker wire but I end up ripping this thin core right out if I do it that way.

I think my smallest on this stripper is 20 or 22. The Dimarzio area wires are super thin like 24 or 26. I probably should get the right tool but this one has worked fine for me so far…
