I've got this Line 6 V30 loaded cab. 90% sure it is the VS412 cab. One of the jacks is busted and the Ohm readings are very strange.
Pretty sure i cannot find a stock replacement anymore and even if I could it seems way more feasible for me to re solder the one broken jack vs all the wiring to the pcb. (Unless someone can recommend a complete replacement with no PCB and easy install)
My ohm readings are fucked and just looking for some opinions here.
When I am connected to the Left Jack with the Ohm switch to the left (which should read 4ohm mono) I am getting a reading of 8 ohms.
When connected to left jack with ohm switch to the right (16 ohm mono left only) I am getting a reading of 29 ohms.
When im connected to the right jack the switch to the left reads 4 ohms and with the switch to the right it reads 29 ohms.
Clearly something is wrong. As far as the jack being broken, the tip with the threads that comes through the backplate where you screw the nut on is completely broken off, however I can apparently still plug in a cable and get a reading.
The only other things worth noting is ive already cleaned it with deoxit and also the jack plate itself is stupid and confusing.
As im looking at it the LEFT side of the plate says right and the right side says left. Wtf lol. Not sure if that is referring to the switch or what. Super confusing, something is definitely wrong and idk where to go.
I've just made it read 8ohms and ran the amp at 8ohms to be safe but it still feels violating.
