I picture Danny DeVito as Wolverine, and then I power thru it.What do you do for the pain?
Heheh… I know I just don’t want to Sir! Feeling in the zone and I just want to play and play. So very much fun.Take a break, then play some more.

Keep playing and you'll get over it and never have that problem again as long as you keep going. Sounds like you haven't been playing much so that's the real problem.

Thanks Drew!Just power through it. Ya might lose some callouses in the process. A couple months back it happened to me just from Gilmour bends and doing a solo cover, but they came back quick.
Many beginners mash down way too hard when fretting. My tips are calloused enough to not feel any pain when I play, but if I trim my nails short there’s a whole another level of pain.
Thanks for sharing! Yes, just the tips.I play almost every day, for at least a few hours. I used to have to file parts of my callouses off, because they'd start to build up too far past the tip of my finger, on the bottom, and it would hinder my fretting accuracy.
But they've gotten to the point where I don't have to even think about them. With regular playing, I would think yours would also.
And when you say 'hurt', I assume you're talking about the skin tips, and not some type of muscular/tendon pain, cuz that's a pain you should not be having. My palm gets a bit sore when I first start, but once the blood gets flowing and my hands warm up, that goes away.
