Show Your Pedal Builds

I think that is what the shelves are. That sounds familiar.

The Fractal is the Pearl Overdrive clone. It is interesting. It is basically like a Tubescreamer that doesn't cut any bass. The Mid control can majorly boost or cut the mids. I generally use these types of pedals for boosting high gain, but it isn't as good at that since it doesn't cut bass. I like the VFE Ice Scream Clone and the Ibanez ST-9 clones better for the Tubescreamer with a Parametric Mid boost thing.

The last several I did that are not in this picture are FV-1 pedals and Analog BBD pedals. I did the Boss DM-2 Clone (Aion), the Memory Man clone, and Anamorph from Madbean. Stacked PCBs with BBD chips can get pretty crazy! I have also done several of the PPCB FV-1 pedals. I even did the stereo one, but haven't spent enough time trying to create stereo algorithms yet. These are tricky because of the SMT soldering, but not too bad.

Here are a few that I mentioned up close:

Spent a few recent weekends catching up on PedalPCB and Aion builds. As you can see, I'm bad about doing things like building pedals and not practicing or playing my instrument - and especially when all the family is at home and I don't feel like making noise.

Beautiful! How are you finishing your enclosures / where are you buying them? What about the pedal art - stickers or something else?

Hey - thanks for the kind comment. I'm using Tayda Electronics enclosures, drill service and UV printing (which seems to average out to about $18 a box with shipping and fees).

The artwork is created in Affinity Designer 2 and sometimes I'll use AI art, vector graphics (free or paid on Etsy, etc.), or just unique fonts (like found on dafont.com). There are some how-to guides on creating the artwork that I can link later on if you are interested.

I don't build pedals, but what a great thread!

@gearJunkie, what have you been up to...it's been awhile since you last posted.

I'm still in my initial learning and experimentation phase. I've breadboarded a couple of simple fuzz face circuits, but recently I have been distracted with work and other non-guitar side projects.

I have been looking for an inspirational pedal project to get me motivated. I have a few ideas so maybe your inquiry will get me off my @$$ to finally build something.

Thanks for the motivation! I'll hopefully have a meaningful update in the next couple weeks
