Should I try BOSS GT-1000 for 4cm?

So I've been going down the rabbit hole of Johnny Marr and The Smiths the last few days, which of course required me to put a capo on my Tele and dial up some really chorused 80's clean tones.
Surprisingly, of all the options available to me, I'm really enjoying the Boss GT-1000 running into the back of the Katana Artist.
Was watching That Pedal Show interview with Marr, and looks like he's using a GT-1000 Core on his board along with a couple drive pedals and a looper. He said he really likes the pitch shifter for chorus, and sure enough that sounds pretty good to me.
Also, running in mono through an amp kind of negates two things I dislike about the GT-1000, which are the lack of stereo delays and fussing with the cabinet settings. I'm just doing the "Katana 100 Mk2 Return" setting.
