That brings up a interesting memory from the 1980s. in the '80s Yamaha made a couple of high quality, higher priced LP and ES335 or ES339 shaped guitars that had battery powered red LED side fret markers on the neck. They probly used those aspirin sized batteries or the quarter sized batteries, I don't remember. Not a practical solution now because the guitars would probly be hard to find today. I had a couple of them that I bought at the now defunct Nadine's in the SFV neighborhood of LA. They were really nice sounding and playing guitars. Could, shoulda, woulda never sold 'em!
