Satch Vai - Dancing

This is SO fun. I'll put some music on YT first thing in the morning, and this popped up.

It got me dancing while brushing my teeth and brewing coffee today. :pickle:pickle:pickle

Just love these guys. We are so fortunate that they are still with us making music. Just great vibes.
:love

Just got my tix to see them next month! I had such a blast at the last Satch/Vai show and they weren’t playing as SatchVai then, it was two different sets. Seeing these dudes play each other’s songs with the added bonus of Pete Thorn tearing it up with them is going to be SICK!!!

Jealous. :(

All the dates are West Coast and Deep South. Then Satch is going on the road with Sammy
for the Best Of Both Worlds run this Summer.

Maybe they'll do some more club dates in the Fall with the SatchVai Band. I am hoping.

hahahahah I mostly sat through that video thinking “Hmm……” then the second I saw Kenny Aronoff as the dancing janitor at the end I cracked up.

Satch’s son most likely did this video as well, they’ve been fun videos and it’s pretty cool seeing these dudes just do that; have fun. There’s no BS about writing the most important guitar album to ever feature two of the world’s greatest, just a couple lifelong friends enjoying the fruits of their labor by simply having fun.

I’d imagine they’ll do a 2nd run through the US and hit the areas they didn’t hit on the first one. If I remember right, that’s how they did the first Satch/Vai dates, in between Vai doing BEAT and Satch doing the Hagar tour.

Been a fan of those dudes since Oct 26th, 1996 and every time I’ve seen them it’s been years apart between shows. If I went to BEAT like I should have, I would have caught Vai 3x within a 6 month span. Even without the BEAT show, I got 2 Satch and Vai shows within less than a year as Vai finished a solo tour right before the first Satch/Vai tour.

For sure! That vibe was so healthy for me this morning. They are still teaching my sorry ass lessons
all of these years later.

Today's was about "letting go" and just "having fun." Life gets so damn heavy sometimes,
and then you don't realize all the weight you are carrying and that builds up on your
shoulders, until someone gets you to shrug it all off with some laughter and simple joy for being.

Love those guys.

That's awesome.

I can literally remember exactly where and when I was when I first heard Satch Boogie. I-75 Southbound
heading down to Fort Myers, FL in a rental car going to see my Grandparents while on weekend leave from
the Navy in December of 1987.

Blew my mind. Listening to the Radio on the Highway I was like WHO THE FUCK IS THIS??? :love

Yeah this is definitely ZZ directing. He’s certainly inherited his dad’s love for shlock and goofiness that it’s all over the clips.

All his indie stuff is also off the chain.
