Roland GP100 (effects only)

Hello everyone,

I have a Roland GP100 that I would like to use ONLY for the effects. No amp/cab modeling. I did try this with my Mesa Mark III head and got no sound with the Roland connected via the effects loop. I know the unit works because the amp models work when I plug straight into the input of the unit and engage the amps.

Am I missing something?

Do you need to switch the FX loop on via the Mark's footswitch?

Perhaps the loop is off?
