Roland GP-100

Anyone know of a current production replacement for the encoders? These things are so old that the recommended replacements seem to be longer available either. :giggle:

Edit: Wonder if these would work?
This is the one that I put in NUMBER/VALUE:

It’s out of production but you can compare the datasheet. There are two listed on eBay.

I’m trying to remember from the mailing list but I seem to recall that some claimed they repaired the encoders but it wasn’t long lasting.

Thanks! Do you know if there is a functional difference between "Quadrature" and "2 bit Gray Code" for output type? That seems to be the only major differece between the recommended encoders and https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...ics/EN11-HSB3AF15?qs=56eeD6vBg8g6MkvlimAI3w==.

FYI - mine is on version 1.03 as well.

And it works with the app?
The truth is, I never tried. I downloaded the editor decades ago. Didn't have a MIDI interface, so I never hooked it up.

I saw the request for the editor in this thread, so I dug through my archives, found it, and posted it.

Where did you hear about FW 1.04 being required?

Man, it was a long time ago but I think it was on the greenoak GP-100 mailing list. I tried getting it working way back when and It was determined that it was a problem with the firmware version.

That's too bad. I lost my Green Oak stuff in a hard drive crash. No way to check it now.
