$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Rig Versus $ Rig

Got to my buddy’s last weekend, I sold him my PRS SE last year, plugged it into his Tube Screamer, Big Muff and Echo Boy all going into an Ampeg B-15 solid state bass amp. Still sounds like me when I’m on my couch, plugged into any of the amps or Fractal gear.

Pretty sure I ripped that from Dimebag; you basically repeat this pattern up the strings-

Quite possibly the last dude that should be making that kind of video :clint but then how many could make one with a 6 figure rig? :grin
For more honesty, he could have used at least some pretty pedestrian tube combo there, like a Peavey Classic 30, Fender Blues Jr, Bassbreaker or something. Like 90% of the cost in the $1400 rig is the guitar.

As much as I dig Joe B, I didn't like either of those tones. I'm sure either of them would work fine. We're probably well past "tone is in the hands" being established now, right?

I normally don't mind his tone but neither of those are standouts. I get that it's kinda the woman tone thing and up to band volume it's probably cool but the clips do neither justice imo.

He has a notoriously dark tone the past decade or so. Some would call it warm. Others might call it muddy. :idk

And it only took a day.
