Since we talk a lot of chuff around here about digital modelling and digital systems in general, might be worth watching some of this. I'm currently trying to get my head around polyphase FIR filtering and interpolation - video 15.
I took both continuous and discrete signal processing in school many years back, but it was mostly just solving differential/difference equations by hand. It never really clicked for me to translating the math into making an application. I never had the drive to get my MATLAB or C++ chops up to make something anything more complicated than the simple cookbook stuff.
These videos look kind of neat to go through. I might even have the textbook that the material is based on.
