As long as by "home use" you don't mean "bedroom levels", you will be fine.

The master volume on those amps tends to be pretty good. It should work in just about any environment you drop it.

The clean channel is f’ing amazing on those things.

Could never get a gained up tone that I liked though, partly because I didn’t want to be that guy at the shop.

It’s not a quiet amp.

It wants to be turned up. 100%

Rectoverb 50?


To be honest I struggled with mine. I felt it had a weird sweet spot for optimum volume. Definitely too loud for my apartment, but kinda fell apart at band volumes with a drummer (particularly the clean channel, mine would not stay clean at that volume)

But in that sweet spot it did sound very good


EDIT: I see you mention a lower watt setting so I’m guessing you don’t mean the 50, and as far as I know those newer rectoverbs basically only share the name with the old ones and nothing circuit wise. So disregard the above lol
