I like irresponsible gear purchases.

I've been considering this or a full sized solely because I believe you can run both guitar and bass simultaneously. I have no idea how that works but it would be a life saver for long travel shows.

I already have the tiniest of nicks on the edge of it from idk what lol, probably transporting it drunk at 12am. It’s a solid device

Yeah you can! You can have separate inputs assigned to different paths etc. - never tried it but it’s possible and bands like it for life use

I don’t think you can do that with the Nano, but don’t quote me as I don’t have one!

Mini or big one. Both can definitely do what you want. I’ve run two guitars through my QC a few times and I know the mini can do it too.

Probably go full size, if the nano cant do what I need im in the why would I pay $400 less for the mini camp?

Then there isn’t any difference between the two, it’s the same brain. This just chalks up to “do you want the full “flagship” that has more footswitches or the same thing you can throw in a rack etc etc

The Nano is a different product. It only does captures and a couple of FX. The QC/mini have captures & models, plugin compatibility, more FX.

Definitely get the mini. It‘s awesome!

If you don't need the extra switches (and per "set and forget" you probably don't need the extra encoders either), buy a Mini and $400 worth of pizza or whatever. Rumor has it the Mini is quieter (in terms of noise floor) than the original. If that's true, then it's actually the superior model. Also, small is cool.

I usually run guitar, vox, and guitar synth through a single QC. You could easily add a (typical) bass guitar path as well.

If you're into processing multiple instruments simultaneously, steer clear of the Nano.

that was my ground noise and if I didn't have an xlr cable connected that's what I would get. Recording analog gave me no issues with xlr connected. I was just asking the OP to try but didn't get a response so I guess I'll never know.

I stand corrected - I heard that very same noise last night. However, I only hear it while the QC is booting up. Once the boot cycle is complete, and the QC starts making output, the noise goes away. No idea what that means. The weird thing is, I did have XLRs (outs 1/2) connected to grounded monitors at the time and I heard the noise on outputs 3/4. (The QC and monitors may be grounded differently than the power amp on the 3/4 outs. Not an issue once up and running, so not really worth "troubleshooting", i.e. no trouble...)
