Anyway, like I said in the other thread, I have one on the way.

One reason is that I just got my desk all setup at the new house and, though it wasn’t the original plan, the QC ended up on the desk…where I realized it kinda takes up a lot of space. I think it’ll be nice to trim that down a bit.

It’s definitely an experiment in general though. I don’t see any reason I’d dislike it because it’s pretty much just a QC but smaller, and I really like my QC.

I updated to 4.0 today and I have to say those new reverbs are verrrrey nice, especially the Nordic and new Plate. Along with the circular delay, new spring reverb, Micro Pitch, and a few others, I think they are stepping up their effects game which is a good thing.

I do hope they continue the PCOM development (they absolutely will because if they don’t at least get Misha and Mayer on there, there will be riots). With that said I’m not overly concerned about them adding new amps. For one thing I’m positive they will. For another, I can already find more amps than I could with my Fractal (using both models and captures obviously). Don’t get me wrong, the Fractal was absolutely fantastic and had a crapload of amp options; I’m just saying I don’t feel like the QC is lesser in this aspect.

So yeah it’s just a QC but little. Should be fun to try. I’ll report back when I get it.

This is where I landed. My QC alternates from my desk to pedalboard often. I eventually grabbed an NC for board use, but I’d rather have the full QC there with all those lovely foot switches. A mini should be arriving this afternoon for full time desk duty. Champagne problems I suppose, but it’s all for fun. Enjoy!

For the record, I just had lunch with a good friend (and monster player) who was thinking about various capture devices. He doesn't follow the gear Internet. I showed the QC Mini to him and suggested it might be the right choice for him.

I can separate "I like/don't like this" from "this is objectively The Way."

I think I just got lucky. I saw the announcement yesterday, went to Sweetwater and saw they were in-stock rather than pre-order and figured what the hell. My rep texted me an hour later and said it shipped and would arrive today. I’m only a few states away, but most things are 2 days from Sweetwater in my case.

Don’t worry though, there’s still time for it to be delayed with Fedex!

Given that - following Cliff's statement - anything else will look like a Gameboy in comparison, also given that the price difference between a Gameboy and a decent modeler is surely around 100%, 5k could be on the horizon for european customers.

Rollout has been pretty mind-blowing to me. I had zero expectation for new hardware until that mystery meat teaser a couple of days ago - and even then I assumed it would be an "Available for Pre-order, Shipping Summer 2026(ish)" type of deal (and nothing of interest to me, regardless.) Hearing about the Mini, and hearing that there was inventory all at the same time, woah.

Absolutely. And regardless of what I may think about the QC incarnations, this is how you launch a product. Add to this the new FX released at the same time.
