Not much to say about this thing, and y'all probably knew about it WAY before I did, but I ran into a soundman who had one, and I just had to find out what it was and get my own. The Gravity Stands cabinet mic holder:

With my band, running into a different soundman at every gig, (we either do house sound gigs or hire different guys when needed), sometimes I like to "bypass" the soundguy with certain things. You know, the guys who hang a Sennheiser E609 over the top of the cab, and it inevitably twists and doesn't give you that flat positioning? Or the guy who does that same thing, with a 57 or 58, or tries to find the absolute center of the cone/dust cap with a 57?

Yeah, I like to "do the work for them" with those guys, so, I picked up one of these bad boys, and my own E609 (I like that mic). If you check the link, you can see it folds up pretty flat/small, and it attaches/detaches VERY easily. I used it for the first time this past Saturday, and it worked like a charm. As soon as the soundguy saw it, and my 609, he immediately moved his mic and stand, and just gave me the cable, and he was pretty happy about it, lol.

Interesting. I like the idea of this. Might have to grab a few - this will save a lot of time and space if I want to mic a cab!

I've got a couple of different Gravity mic stands and two monitor stands. All are quality stuff.

Looks great. I also like the Ampclamp, I have one somewhere.

I'm going to order their "Top Jimmy" so I can easily set it up between head and cab:

Dang, I didn't even know they offered that now. I have the old school one as well, just dug it out of storage, but my Orange has those two wooden "feet" on the bottom, so there is no place to permanently mount the cab part, so I just skipped using it and went for the Gravity instead, but that Top Jimmy solves that problem.
