Positive Grid Spark NEO Core

Positive Grid has just announced a streamlined version of their Spark NEO headsets, called Spark NEO Core, which are basically the same but without a wireless transmitter. You just plug your 1/4" directly into the cans.

It's a weird value proposition at US $159 thou; the original NEO Cores still go for $199.

LOL that’s the opposite of streamlining IMO, and I agree the price difference is insufficient.

Are these literally the exact same headphones, but without the transmitter in the box? Meaning, can you opt to add the transmitter after the fact - and if so, for how much?

Doesn't seem like it The original Spark NEO's had the receiver built in - as far as i can tell, the Core version just removes it to rely on the existing 1/4" input instead.

It's weird, but it seems like PG is effectively pricing the wireless feature, including a transmitter dongle, at $30.
