Played the tastiest cab ever (IMHO) this past weekend

I'm in the V30 trap. It just works. I don't want Greenbacks, I don't really want Creambacks either. I loved t75s in my old 4x12 but my last memory of k85s/t100s (which are supposedly adjacent enough) is kinda barf city. I would be open to Eminence or WGS if there was a cheap way to try them that didn't involve endless speaker swapping my 1 pile of 112 cabs.

Suhr 2x12 PT15 diagonal, loaded with a V30 on bottom, Greenback on top. Reinforces my theory that a V30 in a 2x12 vert or diag would be lovely on the bottom when balanced out with a Green or Cream. This cab is light AF (49 pounds), and VERY easy to handle. With a Mini Recto, Studio 20H (JCM), and Mark V:35, it absolutely fucking rules. I'm seriously considering buying it, even though I don't currently have an amp. It was that good.

And I'm not even gonna shill the shop, because I don't do that. But seriously, this cab is awesome.

Only complaints is that the handles could be a bit more comfy when lifting.

It could be because my biceps are yuge :rofl but this is literally a one-handed cab for me.
My fave 4x12 always been a Bogner with 2 Greenies in top and two V30 on bottom.
Played that from. 94-2013

Negative. I will eventually grab one of those as it seems perfect for gigging, but I have a horizontal recto 2x12 landing here tomorrow.

The vertical cab seems awesome.

I had the Mesa Vertical 2x12 recto cab a while back. I haven't owned the Mesa 4x12 OS but I tried one at Sweetwater and it was so HUGE sounding. I'll never forget that sound. The 2x12 sounded tinny in comparison.

But given that I tried them in two different environments it could also just have been the rooms/positioning.

I have a nice Bogner 2x12 cb now and if I place it against the wall, the bass just completely disappears, and it sounds very bright. But if I move it less than a few feet over and point it longwise in the room, it sounds amazing!

Room interactions can be very deceptive in assessing cabs/speakers.

The vibes in the amp and cab posts are like night and day from the modeler section 😂 everybody high fiving each other and appreciating each others tastes 🤙

I'm sure deep down Laxu still has beef with exactly where they chose to put that speaker cable input, and the fact that its only one input rather than selectable between mono and stereo; preferably via MIDI...

...I kid, I kid...
