Played the tastiest cab ever (IMHO) this past weekend

Suhr 2x12 PT15 diagonal, loaded with a V30 on bottom, Greenback on top. Reinforces my theory that a V30 in a 2x12 vert or diag would be lovely on the bottom when balanced out with a Green or Cream. This cab is light AF (49 pounds), and VERY easy to handle. With a Mini Recto, Studio 20H (JCM), and Mark V:35, it absolutely fucking rules. I'm seriously considering buying it, even though I don't currently have an amp. It was that good.

And I'm not even gonna shill the shop, because I don't do that. But seriously, this cab is awesome.

Only complaints is that the handles could be a bit more comfy when lifting.

It could be because my biceps are yuge but this is literally a one-handed cab for me.

I'm really intrigued by a vertical 2x12, and a V30/Greenback or V30/Creamback combo sounds amazing. Mentally I just need to get over the hurdle of stereo vs mono, because part of my brain thinks a pair of 1x12's (or a stereo 2x12) would be amazing.

You bastard...now I'm thinking if I should go do speaker swapping in my Bluetone diagonal 2x12. It's almost the same dimensions as that Suhr cab.

But then again I already run 4x10 10" Greenbacks + 2x12 V30 with my two cabs...

Define normal sized Boogie.

A TC-100, BL100, or Mark will fit. A Rectumfrier will not, without a muffin top.

It's shockingly smaller/lighter than a Mesa 2x12 vert, yet still sounds phenomenal.

I still need to get my Mk III headshell sorted anyway. I always hear good things about the V30/GB mix.

If the dumb fuckers at Mesa hadn't discontinued their 2x12 diag already, I'd have a tough choice between the two. I'm going to compare them this weekend.

Yeah the two cab setup does that as well. I think the 2x12 V30s might be a bit louder than the 4x10 GB, but if I run a stereo rig I can use my Strymon Deco to kind of mix them so that it favors the amp connected to the 4x10.

Love the idea of a V30/GB 2x12 but the wattage is an issue for my big iron amps. I’d love to try a V30 with a creamback or scumback speaker. Doesn’t need to be totally authentic GB, just give me that woody knock and we’re good.

Cream backs are amazing speakers too, IMO

I think I need a greenback for my PPC212OB (they’re diagonal) to see if I like the change

Negative. I will eventually grab one of those as it seems perfect for gigging, but I have a horizontal recto 2x12 landing here tomorrow.

The vertical cab seems awesome.

They're not even that big. Most 4x12s are like 10 cm wider and taller, and about 6 cm deeper.
