No sh*t? The vid I saw was basically a Mini-Me Yngwie, stage moves and everything. I wonder if that’s the deal though; they’re trying to find a niche to stick him into.

I actually dug this, not for the playing or the tone because both aren’t so great, but that’s what I dig about it; knowing how his rig sounds with his own Strats and how he plays them, this very much seems like he had an opportunity to play the Black Strat without having it setup for him while it’s got pickups that just don’t jive with his rig. He’s not trying to compensate by throwing a bunch of sh*t in there and stays in the vein of the solo.

Also looks like that neck is getting some play time, the wear at the first 5 frets is much darker than it was when it was hung up at the auction.

Also interesting how much wear there is on that neck in comparison to the CAR Strat since it’s neck came from the cream ‘57 AVRI that Gilmour used far less than the CAR Strat. He must have played the sh*t out of that thing from ‘05 on.

Good observations.

I regret having criticized him. I actually feel happy for him. If I had a billionaire friend that invited me to play with a guitar like that I would not refuse. Then someone would post it on YouTube, and everybody would laugh of my crappy playing 😅
