Pick one from the 50s,60s,70s,80s,90s,00s,10s,20s.
Imagine a festival lineup with 8 bands from these decades, dead or alive. You have to plan a show.

Go.

yes, I'm slightly bored.

70s Tom Waits
80s Duran Duran
90s Counting Crows
00s Drive By Truckers

I'm probably pretty basic but...

50s - James Brown
60s - The Beatles
70s - Led Zeppelin
80s - Van Halen
90s - Nirvana
00s - Tool
10s - Dance Gavin Dance
20s - Teenage Wrist

This thread might be kind of stupid. :rofl
And it's tough to pick a lineup. Almost like you have to do just rock, or just pop, etc. I guess a variety pack could work though.
Too much thinking involved.

:doy

That was surprisingly difficult!

50s - Les Paul & Mary Ford
60s - The Beatles
70s - Return to Forever
80s - Prince
90s - Dave Matthews Band
00s - Brad Paisley
10s - Vulfpeck
20s - Cory Wong

50's Elvis
60's Hendrix
70's Stones
80's Tears For Fears
90's Radiohead
2000's Weezer
2010's Black Eyed Peas
2020's ??? Dua Lipa?

Ritchie Valens
The Guess Who
Elton John
Duran Duran
Stone Temple Pilots
Dream Theater
Muse
The Warning

And the show order:

The Warning
Ritchie Valens
The Guess Who
Stone Temple Pilots
Duran Duran
Dream Theater
Elton John
Muse

Edit: My picks for the decades reflect the music I like the most of that band during that decade, i.e., Elton John for the 70's, since that was his best times, even though he released music in at least 4 different decades.

Stupidda fahking thread!

:crazy

(I need to learn how to put the quotes in the memes. Lol)

Instead of naming one artist per decade, I’d rather name one artist for each year of the 1990s.
That could be interesting, although could get messy because there are so many overlapping bands, years, etc. Might as well pick your top 10 of the 90's.

I think a better version of my thread might have been -- Pick 2 bands from 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The 70's is by far the hardest to choose from imo. But it's all a hypothetical event I was proposing anyways. :roflDoesn't really matter!
But what sorta surprises me is I have no real connection with any kind of the popular, modern rock bands in the early to mid 2000's bracket. I know the bands and a lot of the music, yet it's like I have no real desire to listen to any of it and I've blocked that era out completely.

Again with the hard choices Mr. Fuzz

50s Chuck Berry
60s Hendrix
70s Led Zeppelin /Black Sabbath
80s Van Halen / Metallica
90s Stone Temple Pilots / Alice in chains
00s Killswitch Engage / Opeth
10s Alterbridge
20s Dirty Loops

How come I'm seeing 2 bands in some of these???! :hmm
